2023 CISEPS Annual Workshop:
Tackling Inequality Challenges, Research, and Policies
International Workshop CISEPS
14 April 2023 - University of Milano - Bicocca
The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Economics, Psychology and Social Sciences (CISEPS) is organizing an international workshop entitled “Tackling Inequality: Challenges, Research, and Policies”, which will take place at the University of Milan-Bicocca on the 14th of April 2023.
The workshop aims at fostering an interdisciplinary debate involving economists, political scientists, statisticians, and other social scientists towards a better understanding of inequality. The CISEPS Workshop encourages contributions about new theoretical/methodological approaches and applied research from public economics, behavioral economics, experimental economics, statistics and other quantitative disciplines.
The following list illustrates, but does not exhaust, possible topics:
· Inequality broadly defined (e.g., income, wealth, debt, gender, race, class, education, space) and its perceptions
· Causes and consequences of inequality
· Public policies to address inequalities (e.g., redistribution, taxation, and poverty alleviation, educational programs)
· Multidimensionality of inequality (e.g., social and political exclusion, precarity, marginalization, discrimination)
Special sessions devoted to particularly innovative approaches may be organized.
Participation of interested researchers and policy makers from all countries is welcome.
